English:
Lesson Observation, Teaching Experience and reflection on Teaching Experience

Faculty of Education, University of Lapland and the University of Lapland Teacher Training School

English Lesson Observation and Teaching Experience are offered to international students who have at least good command of English (CEFR B2) and some pedagogical preparation. The links below lead to descritpions of the programmes. Please read them very carefully.

Please note the following:
- English: Teaching Experience (IEDU 0013) must be preceded by English: Observation Period Leading to the Teaching Experience (IEDU 0012) and followed by English: The Teaching Experience Reflective Report (TERR) (IEDU 0014) . Teaching Experience is not an equivalent to teaching practice, so it is rather short. Only 4 to 8 hours of teaching per student can be offered by the school. Please read the programme descritpions (links below) for more details.
- If you intend to teach English, you must complete LAPE 1623 Pedagogy of English and Swedish languages (English part only: 2 ects, in the autumn semester) or IEDU 0008 Teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) 2ects (spring semester) before teaching (IEDU 0013).
- IEDU 0012, 0013 and 0014 are NOT GRADED. If your home university requires a grade, it can be granted on request. See the programme descripotion (links below) for more details.

Students who wish to participate in the observation and teaching have to meet Elizabeth Alssen in person. There is NO sign up through Peppi for these programmes. Please make an appointment by email: elizabeth.alssen(at)ulapland.fi
